St. Joseph’s School has been fundraising during Lent for nine years. This year, 2019, they did it again doing many fun activities for kids events. We went into the school on May 3rd to do a presentation and showed the video that appears on our website. It was “Super Hero” day for the children to dress up as one of their heroes and have some fun. This fit in very well as we shared with them that we should all use the talents and strengths we are given, just as the “Super Heroes” they were dressed as. We told them they are all “Super” to us and the Haitian children, through their desire and generosity to help. After the video and a few questions, they presented us with a cheque for $603.00, which we told them would be used for one of the feeding programs we are doing. It is always such an uplifting and emotional time sharing the stories with the children.
